Melvin O. Kirscheman
Melvin O. Kirscheman, age 54, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2003.
He was born Feb. 19, 1949 in Portland, OR to Otto and Gladys Kirscheman.
Melvin was a resident of Bellingham from the age of 2 on and graduated
from Bellingham High School in 1968. During the 1970's he worked
at the Ferndale Cannery, then became a truck driver in 1979 and
spent 20 years travelling the continental US. In the past two years,
he worked for the Texaco Station on Sunset and Samish Way and lastly
as a security guard for the Black Mtn. Ranch on Mt. Baker Hwy.
Melvin liked to fish, go boating, spend time visiting with friends
over coffee at IHOP and enjoyed spending time with his three nieces
as well as seeing his great nephew and niece.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents - Otto and Gladys.
He is survived by his sister, Jean and husband, Ken Pfannenstiel
of Ferndale; brother, Bob and wife, Peggy Kirscheman of Ferndale;
sister, Diane Kirscheman of the family home in Bellingham; nephews,
Todd Pfannenstiel of Seattle, Scott and wife, Kelly Pfannenstiel
of Custer; nieces, DeAna, Katie and Chelsey Kirscheman of Ferndale;
great nephew and great niece, Martin and Samantha Pfannenstiel of
Custer.
A graveside funeral will be held at 11am, Sat., May 17 at the Woodlawn
Cemetery with a luncheon afterward at the Triumph Lutheran Church
in Ferndale. Family and friends are welcome.
